It is with great sadness that the family of DEREK WHITFIELD CARRUTHERS announce his death at the age of 100 years and one month at Highlands Care Home, Woodbridge, Suffolk on 19th March 2023. Beloved husband of Joan 'Poppy' Carruthers (died 9th March 2012), much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. A faithful heart and support to many in Great Dunmow where he resided for over sixty-five years. Derek will be laid to rest at St Mary's Church, Dunmow. He will be greatly missed by all.
