Welcome to January's Pets' Corner, the place for reader picture of their pets or animals generally.
Thank you to our readers for sharing them with us! Do you think your picture of a pet is cuter?
If you’d like to get involved for next month, send us your pet photos, your name, your pet’s name, and a few sentences about what makes them special to you.
You can see more pet related articles and previous pet galleries here on our website - click the Pets Corner tag under the article.
Here’s what our contributors say about their pets:
Skye and Georgie
Angela's Maine Coon cats are Skye and Georgie.
She said: "They like to sleep a lot."
Judging by these pictures, as the cats have grown it would seem their preferred spot is still just the right size, honest!
Olive
Karen's dog Olive is nine years old, a drama queen, and loves a tummy tickle!
Karen added: "Olive was the inspiration behind my new company ‘Olive and Olive’ which I launched during lockdown following my passion for beautiful artefacts for the home."
The company is based in Newport. See https://www.oliveandolive.co.uk/
Photo competition
St Clare Hospice is running a Cutest Canine photo competition.
Pudding, a Shetland Sheepdog, was the 2021 winner - this picture was taken by Dawn Ingram.
Entries need to be submitted to St Clare Hospice before 12noon on Friday (January 21) and entrants must have signed up for Winter Walkies 2022 which takes place on Sunday February 27 at Paris Hall Farm.
See https://stclarehospice.org.uk/event/winter-walkies-2022/ for details on both Winter Walkies and the photo competition.
