Schoolchildren in Stansted ran more than 600 miles to connect with the community during Mental Health Awareness Week.
Magna Carta Primary Academy pupils clocked up a collective 600 miles to promote mental health initiative, Let's Talk, Stansted.
The 600 miles represents the distance between Stansted and its twin town Rungis, a Parisian suburb near Orly Airport.
Jen Pearce, Head of School, said: "Keeping our bodies and minds well has never been quite as important as it has been after the tough year of lockdowns.
"The Race to Rungis was a fun way to keep children moving.”
The children logged their distance during their Daily Mile, a scheme to keep children active as lockdown eases.
Let's Talk, Stansted is a community 'listening group'.
Jen Pearce said: "We are always looking to establish more links across the community.
"It was exciting to take our Daily Mile and incorporate it into something different and collaborative."
