A new music club will launch in Great Dunmow in early 2023, with acoustic nights focusing predominantly on original material.
Dunmow Music Club's acoustic nights will be hosted by resident and professional musician Mick Wilson, and each night will feature a combination of up-and-coming singer/songwriters, established professional musicians and well-known artists.
The acoustic nights will be held at Foakes Hall, which will be transformed into a club-like setting with small tables, intimate lighting, a licensed bar and food served by the Chameleon Café.
Mick will headline at the launch night on Friday, February 24.
Over his career, Mick has performed with artists including Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Chris Rea, Lulu and Cliff Richard, and in 1998 became the lead vocalist for 10cc for almost 20 years.
He now concentrates on the Frontm3n project with Peter Howarth of Hollies and Pete Lincoln of the Sweet, and performs in Europe, Scandinavia and Australia.
Supporting Mick on the night will be Grace George, and Sarah Munro and her band, who have previously performed at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Cambridge Folk Festival.
Future acoustic nights include Friday, May 19 and Friday, July 21.
