The Great Dunmow Summer Solstice Festival returned for its third year, and was a big success thanks to support from the community and local businesses.
Held on Saturday, June 24 at Great Dunmow Recreation Ground, the festival featured performances from Essex bands including Xstatic, Colchester-based Old Skool Band, and Bob Collum & The Welfare Mothers.
Other acts included Queen tribute act Flash, Abba Stars UK and Anglo-Cuban band The Swanvesta Social Club.
A variety of food was also available, with wood fired pizzas, burgers, noodles, dumplings, ice cream and more, as well as a bar hosted by Dunmow Young Farmers Club.
The festival was first held in the summer of 2021 to bring local bands and musicians together, and is run on a not-for-profit basis with support from sponsors.
All proceeds from the event were donated to the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, which supports people affected by cancer across Essex and London.
The charity is the legacy of BBC sports journalist Helen Rollason, who died from cancer in Brentwood in 1999.
Housebuilders Bellway, who are currently building the Sapphire Fields development in the town, contributed £200 to the cost of this year's event.
