Dunmow Fire Station is inviting members of the public to an open day to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.
The open day takes place from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, August 20, with visitors invited to have a look around the fire station, see the fire engines and meet some of the crew.
Visitors can also try out some of the equipment, watch a chip pan fire demonstration and meet Fizz the urban search and rescue dog.

Food will be on offer from Trott & Whinny, as well as ice-cream from an ice-cream van and cake from H's bespoke cakes.
Proceeds will go to the Fire Fighters Charity, which offers specialist support for members of the UK fire services community.
