Old Park Meadow Natural Burial Ground in Dunmow invited families to name a star in memory of loved ones.
Families came together on Wednesday, December 13 for two sessions - one in the afternoon and one in the evening - to decorate stars and remember those they had lost.
The event raised more than £830 for Farleigh Hospice and St Clare Hospice through a raffle, the sale of refreshments and online donations.
Delyse Jackaman, manager of Old Park Meadow, said: "We were delighted to see so many families, not only because it helped raise over £830 for Farleigh Hospice and St Clare Hospice but also because they were able to talk with one another and share memories of their loved ones."
