Limited tickets are available for the Dunmow Soapbox Race, which is the largest independent soapbox race in the UK.
On Sunday, May 5, Great Dunmow Round Table will crown their fifth winner as homemade soapbox vehicles race to the finish line.
Due to the popularity of the event, ticketing has been introduced to accommodate the 20,000 plus people expected to attend this year.
A Great Dunmow Round Table spokesperson said: "We have taken the decision to ticket the event for the safety of our audience and to create a better experience for them."
Tickets are available from https://www.greatdunmowsoapboxrace.co.uk/. Tickets cost £5 for adults and are free for children under 10.
