Pupils from Helena Romanes School in Great Dunmow had a taste of Mediterranean life on a trip to the south of Spain.
A group of 31 Spanish students embarked on a four-day cultural excursion with the chance to practice the language.
The students engaged in an immersive class before touring El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz.

Their guide, Pedro, showed them the city's sights, including the bullfighting ring, church, and a market where baby sharks were on display.
An afternoon spent on the beach was topped off with a tapas meal where they had the opportunity to taste many traditional Spanish delights, including bull’s tail croquettes.
On the last day, the group savoured a traditional Spanish breakfast of 'churros con chocolate' before taking a ferry to Cádiz.
