Felsted Primary School was one of two schools to receive gardening kits from Mulberry Homes as part of National Children's Gardening Week.

Mulberry Homes, which is currently working on the Meadows at Felsted development, donated four kits to Felsted and another four kits to St Michael's CoE Primary School in Braintree.

Felsted Primary School headteacher Bryony Collins said: "National Children’s Gardening Week is a fun and engaging way for us to inspire a love of gardening amongst our pupils.

"The kits from Mulberry Homes will be a great help in us teaching the children new skills."

Kerry Jones, sales and marketing director at Mulberry Homes, said: "We are delighted to have supported Felsted Primary School and St Michael’s CofE Primary School this National Children’s Gardening Week.

"With our donation, we hope to encourage a love of gardening amongst the school children, and we look forward to seeing what incredible flowers and plants they grow."

National Children's Gardening Week runs from Saturday, May 25 to Sunday, June 2, and aims to capture children's enthusiasm in spring and summer, when results are immediate.

In addition to the Meadows, Mulberry Homes is working on the Felsted Gate development, both of which consist of three, four and five-bedroom homes.
