Dunmow Dementia Café member John Bridges celebrated his 100th birthday this week with staff and users of the service.
John's actual birthday was on June 5, and he had a party for about 70 people - including family who came over from America and South Africa.
Another party was held at the Dementia Café - which meets every Monday at the Rowena Davey Centre - on Monday, June 17.
John lived in Dunmow until last year, when he moved into the Hazel End Care Home in Bishop's Stortford.
He has been coming to the Dementia Café since it began in 2018, and used to be one of the volunteers. He is now described by staff as "a very popular member".
