A music hall show is returning to the past at the Bar Theatre at Little Easton Manor.

The New Players' Music Hall Company will present 'The Good Old Days' on Sunday, September 15, promising to be a "music hall spectacular filled with fun and frivolity".

Performances will take place at 2.30pm and 5.30pm, with tickets costing £25.

The New Players have been presenting Victorian Music Hall since 1936, including 56 years at The Charing Cross Theatre in London.

They have also featured in 245 episodes of 'The Good Old Days', which was broadcast on the BBC on Saturday nights and filmed at the City Varieties in Leeds.

Artistic director of the New Players and Aythorpe Roding resident Michelle Grant said: "We are delighted to be returning to The Barn Theatre so it can reverberate to the glorious sounds of the Music Hall, singing the wonderful songs that are an essential part of our heritage."

The company includes Johnny Slap, who has been a professional entertainer for more than 25 years and has performed all over the world with his combination of slapstick comedy and circus skills.

Michelle Grant, who is now artistic director, has performed in West End productions of Grease, Singin' In The Rain, Annie, Me and My Girl and They're Playing Our Song.
