Cleaning and conservation work to preserve Great Dunmow War Memorial for future generations is now complete.
The works were completed by the town council on Sunday, August 11.
Now the cleaning and conservation contractors are producing a report that will help the council create a maintenance schedule for the memorial.
The council does not intend to clean the memorial every year as this would be detrimental to the structure.

Members of the public are thanked for putting up with the two-day road closure and for their positive feedback on the completed works.
A working group has also been set up for the repair, refurbishment and additions to playgrounds and play areas.
