Families are being encouraged to take part in Robin Robin-themed adventure trails at RSPB nature reserves this Christmas, including Rye Meads near Harlow and Flatford Wildlife Garden near Colchester.
The trails are linked to a new half-hour stop-motion story called Robin Robin, created by Aardman which debuts on Netflix on Wednesday, November 24.
The tale is about a young robin trying to fit in.
Over 30 RSPB nature reserves are running family trails on various dates until January 10, with a trail booklet, robin-related activities, and a bird food recipe card.
Children who complete the challenges are rewarded with a certificate.
An audio trail is available at the nature reserves, voiced by Bronte Carmichael, the voice actor for Robin Robin.
There is also campfire storytelling at Flatford Wildlife Garden on December 11. See the website for prices.
