A 16-year-old boy has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place as part of an ongoing investigation in Great Dunmow.
The investigation was launched by Braintree and Uttlesford Community Policing Team after a video was posted on social media, which appeared to show the boy in possession of a knife.
A 16-year-old was arrested and charged on Friday, June 30.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will next appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on July 14.
Investigating officers have thanked the public for their cooperation throughout the enquiries.
