Dunmow Taekwondo has made the shortlist for 'Sports Club of the Year' at the Essex Activity Awards.
The 12th annual Essex Activity Awards, designed by Active Essex, celebrate individuals, organisations and groups across the county who have inspired people to get active.
The Sports Club of the Year award, sponsored by EVouchers, will go to a club which has 'been able to provide organised sport opportunities, keeping their members engaged and have encouraged individuals to try something new'.
The award also notes clubs that have achieved great things this year, or made stand out changes to make their opportunities accessible for all.
Running for just three years, Dunmow Taekwondo has quickly grown to more than 80 members, and has won medals at regional, national and international competitions over the past year.
The club welcomes students ranging in ages from four to 65, and supports members and their families to train together and have fun.
Dunmow Taekwondo has been shortlisted for the award along three other nominees, from Brentwood, Braintree and Harlow.
The awards ceremony will take place at Prested Hall in Feering on Thursday, December 7, and Active Essex is calling on the public to vote on three of the award categories - Sports Club of the Year, Strengthening Communities Award and Unsung Hero.

Dr William Bird, chair of Active Essex, said: "The Essex Activity Awards offer a fantastic opportunity to celebrate every achievement in movement, physical activity and sport – no matter how big or small.
"We have received a record number of nominations this year, which reflects the number of inspiring individuals and empowering groups and organisations across Essex, that encourage residents to lead active and healthy lives.
"I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made a nomination, and a big congratulations to all of the finalists. It is now time to vote for your winners!"
