The leader of a group tackling loneliness among older people in Stebbing has stepped down.

Re-engage provides life-enhancing social connections for older people, with monthly afternoon tea parties held at volunteers' homes and guests driven and accompanied by volunteer drivers.

Pat said: "It has been a really rewarding role, our guests enjoy the change of scene and companionship at the teas.
"After all these years, I look forward to continuing as a driver and eventually becoming a guest and enjoying the friendship and hospitality our wonderful volunteers provide!"
