Children across Saffron Walden are dressing up in their best literary costumes to celebrate World Book Day.
World Book Day takes place every year on the first Thursday in March as a national celebration of books and reading.
Every child in full-time education receives a voucher to spend on books, with schools across the UK taking part in special activities to celebrate.
Some of last year's costumes included the Cat in the Hat, Winnie the Pooh, The Worst Witch and more.
