Barratt and David Wilson Homes are championing eco-friendly living with their latest construction project in Great Dunmow.
Their Great Dunmow Grange development, located on Blackwater Drive, combines modern living with numerous eco-friendly measures to protect the natural ecosystem.
The developers are incorporating bird and bat boxes within the site with 36 bird boxes, four swift boxes, and 110 bat boxes.
Along with providing a sanctuary for the local bird population, these structures are also expected to encourage bats to the area.

The development is surrounded by a network of hedgehog highways stretching more than 1,800 metres, and the project is focused on preserving the existing greenery.
There are plans to plant more than 1,530 trees around the development's 27 acres of open green space and developers are setting aside three acres for a wildflower meadow to support native pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and moths.
Additionally, residents will have access to allotments throughout the site.
