A man has been arrested after a serious assault in Flitch Green on Saturday evening.
Essex police were called to reports of an assault at about 6.40pm on Saturday, May 11, which left the victim with injuries to his face.
The suspect had fled the scene, and officers began searching for him with support from police dogs and handlers.
An hour later, a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
Anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to get in touch with police.
