Year 9 pupils from Helena Romanes School are celebrating after finishing their Duke of Edinburgh's Award Bronze expedition recently.
The 46 pupils had braved a journey from High Roding to Skreens Park near Roxwell, reaching their destination in six hours.
The group planned their route in advance and once at the site, set up camp and pitched their tents, before cooking their meals using outdoor cooking equipment.

They departed the following morning by 9am, journeying through Roxwell, Chignal St James, and finally reaching Broads Green.
The weekend was a success as the pupils "demonstrated determination, effort and excellent navigational skills".
Special thanks was given to the volunteers who manned checkpoints and assured the safety of the pupils.
