Fifty musicians from Helena Romanes School recently attended a two-day workshop with the London Mozart Players.
The workshop, which took place on June 17 and June 18, saw students from Years 7 to 12 compose a piece based on previous works by Gustav Holst, who worked in Thaxted.
The young musicians then held a performance for parents, carers, staff, and the school's primary phase pupils.

Mr Cairns, director of music at Helena Romanes, said: "Each and every student seized the moment with the London Mozart Players, who encouraged and developed a great rapport with our students.
"We're hoping this is the start of something to build on in years to come."
The project was made possible by the support of Thaxted Music Festival.
