Great Dunmow Town Band has welcomed a new youth band to bring together young musicians in the community.
The Great Dunmow Youth Band was launched at Foakes Hall on Monday, September 9, and caters to young people aged seven to 18 under the guidance of musical director James Cairns.
Attendees enjoyed an hour of playing music and meeting James and other members of the town band.
James is a seasoned musician and educator with more than 10 years of experience, and is also director of music at Helena Romanes School.
James said: "I am excited to create a space where young people can express themselves through music and grow as performers.
"Together, we will explore a wide range of musical genres and create unforgettable experiences."
