The owners of a Dunmow summer holiday club are turning their home into a giant Advent calendar to launch their new charity.
Forbesy Youth Club - run by Kellie and Scott Forbes - is launching the Forbesy Youth Club Foundation Charity so they can expand to providing youth clubs.
To celebrate the launch, the couple's Great Bardfield home will be transformed into a giant outdoor Advent calendar - starting on December 1.
PropUp, a company which works with charities to rehome items from TV production sets, has provided 25 light-up window boxes to help with the project.
The window boxes will be turned into Advent windows containing positive messages, and for two hours on each evening of Advent visitors will be welcomed with popcorn and hot chocolate to come and see the display.
This is not the first time Kellie and Scott have adapted their home, as in 2022 they turned their house into a giant gingerbread house to raise money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
Kellie and Scott run their Forbesy Camps at three locations - Great Dunmow Primary School, Gosfield School in Colchester and Chelmer Valley High in Chelmsford.
Kellie said: "Our company ethos is built on a foundation of love, kindness and safety, with a focus on connecting children socially, building confidence, raising self-image and outlook by fostering a nurturing world experience.
"We love our work and are very passionate about the development of the children.
"In a world increasingly dominated by social media and digital entertainment, we are dedicated to developing children’s natural social and active interaction through empowerment in a fun and safe environment.
"At Forbesy Camps, children have 'the best day ever', a strapline that was chosen by our very own campers!"
