Grange Farm & Dunmow Runners have continued to embrace the return of actual races with plenty venturing out and about.
Four members headed west to tackle the Hatfield 5 which had to be relocated to Bovingdon airfield to allow for COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing.
Glenda Jackson completed the five-mile course in 46 minutes 32 seconds to place first in her age category while Colin Jackson got round in 38:18 and Martin Atkinson in 36:02.
The quickest of the quartet was Declan Evans in 29:50.
Ian Lawson opted to take on two marathons, competing in the Phoenix Running Double the Force Marathon before tackling the VE Day 75th anniversary event, both held over from last year.
That proved doubly poignant as it also brought up his 75th official run over the 26.2-mile distance.
He completed the first over a relatively flat course along the Thames towpath in 4:49:25 while the much hillier second run around Denbies Vineyard in Dorking took 5:14:50.
Gillian Robertson meanwhile kept it virtual with the Global World Marathon, finishing in 3:49:05.
