A school in Great Dunmow have been crowned county rugby champions to the delight of their teachers and pupils.
Great Dunmow Primary's Year 5 and Year 6 side had travelled to Harlow for the county tag rugby finals, their reward for successfully navigating several qualifying rounds at local and district level.
It is the first time that the school has earned the honour and title in the sport and is part of their commitment to provide opportunities for pupils to play and represent the school at a variety of sports.
Headteacher of the Woodlands Park Drive school, Kevin Watts, said: "This is an amazing achievement from such a talented team of pupils.
"They all played so well in some very tough matches and showed great sportsmanship.
"And to be crowned county champions is fully deserved."
