There has been plenty of success for football teams at one Great Dunmow school.
Chief among the plaudits for Helena Romanes School has been their success in the North West Braintree District Schools Football League.
The squads from Year 7, 8, 9 10 and 11 all made it through to the finals of their respective tournaments, and all as group winners, and that resulted in three being crowned overall champions.
Year 7 and Year 9 both beat Hedingham to lift the trophy, the younger group winning 4-0 and the older team enjoying a 6-1 success.
The other winners were Year 10 who beat Rickstones 5-1, meaning they have been unbeaten in district competition for three straight years.
In the other matches, Year 8 lost to Ramsey while Year 11 were beaten 2-0 by Honywood.
Executive headteacher Catherine Davis said: "We are immensely proud of our football teams this year, who have been relentless in their efforts throughout the season.
"I would also like to thank the dedicated staff who have coached the teams and to our parents and carers for all of their support.
"We are delighted with these results and look forward to building on these successes next year."
